SHUN HONG LIU
Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Shun Hong Liu is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Hong Investment Advisors Limited (HIA). A seasoned financial professional with over two decades of experience, Mr. Liu has built a distinguished career in investment management and trading. Before founding HIA, he served as CIO at PMA Investment Advisors, where he successfully managed an award-winning macro fund. Under his leadership, the PMA Harvester Fund was recognized as the “Best Asia ex-Japan Hedge Fund” by Eurekahedge in 2009. In 2011, driven by his entrepreneurial vision, Mr. Liu established his own fund and departed PMA to launch HIA.
Prior to his tenure at PMA, Mr. Liu spent nine years at HSBC as a Senior Trader, specializing in foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, and fixed income products across the Asian market.
Mr. Liu is a CFA charterholder and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) since early in his career.
ELAINE CHAN
Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Elaine Chan brings over 20 years of extensive experience in Treasury and Trading. She previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia Credit Trading at HSBC, where she was a key member of the Global Credit Management Committee and a designated Material Risk Taker. After a successful tenure, she departed HSBC in 2017 and joined Hong Investment Advisors Limited in 2020.
She began her career at HSBC in 1996 as a dealer, quickly establishing herself as a leader in the financial markets. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Chan is actively involved in the industry as a Committee Member of the Professional Membership Committee at the Treasury Markets Association, where she also chairs the Membership Sub-committee.
